The current economic crisis is making it more clear than ever that more jobs need to be created on a local level. The advantage about job creation in the fuel and energy market is that they are some of the most stable jobs we have.

The actually process of torrefaction is the same as roasting coffee beans, a process that is carried out in many small rural communities. Local fuel generation and utilization creates many benefits for the area, not just increased employment. It will help to reduce issues with waste, and potentially turn some local wastes into valuable assets.
