Before your raw material can be used in pellet machine is must be properly prepared. The material needs to processed through a hammer mill screen with a 5mm screen. This will create small consistent size particles which will bind well under the compression and heat of the pellet machine. You must also make sure that your raw material is dry. With some small pellet machines you can easily make the material too dry, and it will not form a pellet. However with the Mini Pellet Mill we have a water drip system which can add small amounts of water to achieve the correct compression.
