We compete with a large number of pellet mill manufacturers, many of which come from China. While the Chinese manufacturers focus on price above all else we focus on product quality and pellet quality as a first consideration.

You will also notice that all the Chinese manufacturers offer diesel engine powered pellet mills and we do not. While a diesel powered pellet mill may offer a more portable solution it does come with many compromises. The first is you have very little control over the speed of the pellet mill. With an electric motor you can use variable speed to precisely control the speed of the pellet mill die to control pellet quality. If the pellets seem to be of a poor compression, you can try slightly lowering the speed of the die. This is not really possible with a diesel pellet mill, as slowing down the engine could easily mean the engine does not produce enough torque to operate the press, and the engine will then stall and stop the process. A significant downside to using a diesel powered pellet mill is the cost it takes to operate. The comparable costs of making pellets with an electric motor and a diesel engine show that it is considerably more expensive to use diesel power. If three phase power is not available it would be more efficient to use a diesel generator to produce electricity to run the mill instead of directly running from the diesel engine.
