Wood Pellets Fuel

Wood pellets as a fuel source is a relatively new concept, and has only recently taken off since the beginning of the 21st century. The simple reason for this was wood pellet fuel was uneconomical, and could not compete against the low cost of fuels such as oil and gas. However, now wood pellets fuel is now more than competitive to the cost of oil and particularly gas. Also now the wood pellet fuel market is established with wood pellet production carried out in most countries. The available selection of pellet stoves and boilers is constantly growing, with new research generating improvements. Wood pellets fuel has also been encouraged since it is a carbon neutral fuel source, that does not contribute additional carbon into the atmosphere, unlike fossil fuel such as oil and gas.

Wood Pellets Cost

The cost of wood pellet fuel is also far more stable than the price of oil or gas for example. Wood pellet fuel prices will also be far more stable in the future. Oil, gas and coal in the future will receive higher taxation, to put people off using them, due to their negative effect on global warming. Also oil and particularly gas are limited resources, and as our consumption due to global population continues to increase, the price of oil and gas will also increase for this reason. So wood pellets fuel is only set to become more price competitive in the future.

Wood Pellet Machine

A wood pellet machine is the core piece of equipment in producing wood pellets fuel. A wood pellet machine works on the principles of friction, pressure and heat to reform wood into pellet form. each machine comprises a set of rollers covering the surface of a die.
